Dr. John Francis, MD, DO

Dr. John A. Francis is a psychiatrist based in the Kansas City, Missouri area with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 and specializes in psychiatry, including general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Francis has practiced in Kansas City and Independence, Missouri, and has worked collaboratively with other physicians and medical groups in the care of patients.

Amarachi Grace Obi, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over five years of experience in the mental health field. She adopts a compassionate and evidence-based approach to treatment, focusing on children and adolescents who experience Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and the transition into adulthood. Additionally, she is dedicated to providing families with understanding and support. Amarachi earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rockhurst University/Research College of Nursing and subsequently completed her Master’s degree at Walden University.

His career began in 2009 as a mental health technician in a state psychiatric hospital, laying a foundation for his clinical expertise and compassionate approach to care. Dr. Yule earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of South Alabama in 2018.

He attended National University in San Diego, CA where he graduated Magna Cumulate with his Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and his Master’s degree in Human Behavior and Psychology. He has over 25 years providing professional services within the mental healthcare field. William utilizes skills from various therapeutic modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Couples Therapy, Mindfulness, and Emotional Intelligence. William has abundant experience working with and helping clients with substance addictions issues, trauma and abuse, PTSD, anger management, grief and loss issues, depression, bipolar, OCD, anxiety and panic, poor self-esteem, as well as couple’s therapy.

He began working with individuals with mental health needs in 2003 and became a register nurse in 2007.
